From Edmonds resident Jim Underhill comes a reminder that “within a hard slapshot of Highway 99 and 220th Street Southwest is a professional skate arena that brings top-notch competition and entertainment” — the Olympicview Arena.
Located in Mountlake Terrace at 22202 70th Ave. W., the arena is not a public skate rink, but provides such activities as University of Washington hockey. The Husky Ice Hockey Club opens it season at the Arena on Sept. 27, playing Idaho. Other home rink opponents will include Washington State, Cal State Northridge, Utah, Arizona State, Portland State, Oregon and Boise State. Admission is $5 for each game.
You can find more information about the Husky Ice Hockey club at www.Huskyicehockey.com. You can learn about all the programs scheduled for the Olympicview Arena at www.Olympicviewarena.com.
