Meadowdale Elementary, Middle and High School and Beverly Elementary School were placed into lockdown at 2 p.m. Tuesday due to police activity near the Beverly playfields, Edmonds School District spokeswoman DJ Jakala said. The lockdowns were later lifted at around 3 p.m.
