The Edmonds Summer Market is still running each Saturday until Oct.5. The market takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is located at 5th and Main and stretches up around Centennial Plaza. Take your date for a stroll around the various merchant booths. This is a great way to gather ingredients for a meal to cook together!
The Edmonds Art Walk happens next Thursday on Sept.19. This is a great opportunity to visit many local businesses, enjoy art, and maybe stop off before or after for a quick bite.
The sun is setting earlier these days but the sunsets are still gorgeous! Nothing beats the view from the beach. You can take in the glory from any of our downtown beaches or from the table at a waterfront restaurant. Anthony’s, Arnie’s, Demetri’s, and don’t forget the deck at Rory’s — all are great choices!
Fall is harvest time and wine-making season is kicking into high gear. Attending a wine tasting at Arista Cellars is a great way to celebrate the harvest. Arista offers a free tasting each Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
The leaves are just barely beginning to lose their vibrant green but in a few weeks, there will be an colorful scene on display. Many of our Edmonds parks provide an opportunity to see the leaves. If you want to venture further, the Arboretum is a great Seattle destination . You could also make an day or weekend excursion out toward Mount Baker or Leavenworth. Because color changes will vary depending on when and where you go, call the Washington State Fall Foliage Hotline at 1-800-354-4595 for the most up-to-date information.
Enjoy the change of season…and “fall” in love with our town!
