Edmonds-area high school sports roundup for Monday


Edmonds-Woodway 3, Jackson 2
The Warriors defeated Jackson 25-21, 18-25, 25-16, 11-25, 15-8. Leading E-W was Rebecca Sharp with 43 assists, 10 digs and four aces and Sid Eck with 13 kills, 2 blocks and 10 digs. With the win, the Warriors (8-1 league, 10-3 overall) clinched at least the No. 3 seed in Wesco 4A. Other top Warrior performers were Mikenna Vogel  with 13 kills, 4 aces and Amanda Paavola with 11 kills, 5 aces.

Meadowdale 3, Shorewood 2
The Mavs (7-1 league, 10-3 overall) were led by Kaylan Cummins’ 18 kills and 10 digs to earn a 20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-25, 18-16 win over Shorewood. Also contributing to Meadowdale’s win: Amy Rickel with 21 digs, Gabby Mahler  with 17 kills, eight digs; Tara Fishback with 53 assists, 10 digs.


Meadowdale 2, Shorecrest 0
Meadowdale’s two goals came from Hannah Taylor and Emily Crichlow, putting an end to Shorecrest’s 12-game win streak. Alyssa Navet had an assist on both goals. Ashley Routh was in the goal for the Mavs, now 7-2-3, 10-2-3.
