If Puget Sound-area grocery store checkers go on strike against Safeway, Fred Meyer/QFC and Albertston’s Monday evening, and you are uncomfortable crossing picket lines, we’ve started a list of alternative grocery stores. Please add to the list in the comment section below.

In Edmonds:
Edmonds IGA (former Petosa’s), 550 5th Ave. S.
PCC, 9803 Edmonds Way
Haggen/TOP Foods, 21900 Highway 99

In Lynnwood
Trader Joes, 19500 Highway 99
Whole Foods, 2800 196th St. S.W.

In Mountlake Terrace
Roger’s Market Place, 23120 – 56th Ave. W.

In Shoreline
Village Marketplace Thriftway, 20126 Ballinger Way N.E.

StandWithOurCheckers.com has created its own preferred list. According to the website, “Stores on this map have signed agreements to pay their employees good wages and benefits.” Locally, those stores are PCC, Haggen, Roger’s and Village Marketplace.
