We posted a story about Edmonds Fabric of Life store owner Carol Schillios and the store’s co-founder Kaaba Coulibaly, who visited recently from Mali, West Africa. Coulibaly returned to Mali but her teen daughters, Aicha and Hawa, are now living with Schillios and are attending Shoreline Community College.
Schillios said she has been driving Aicha and Hawa to Shoreline, “because it takes them four buses and 1.5 hours to commute each way.” However, she will be unable to do so during the last three weeks of October, due to travel commitments. Schillios attempted without success to find a ridematch for the girls on a local carpool site. “I’m looking for a commuter who goes from Edmonds to Shoreline CC to take them for three weeks,” she said.
If you make the Edmonds-to-Shoreline Community College drive and are willing to help the girls get to school, please contact Schillios at carol@fabricoflife.org.
