Former Edmonds-Woodway High School football player Zack Berg has transferred from the University of Wyoming to Portland State, according to a report in the Portland Tribune.

Berg, who played two seasons at Wyoming, will join two junior college players who signed with the Vikings during the early signing period, the Tribune said.

Berg, 6-2 and 230 pounds, graduated from E-W in 2011. According to the University of Wyoming football website, Berg redshirted in 2011 and played in 11 games as a redshirt freshman in 2012.

Berg will be available to play spring football, the Tribune said.

  1. Good luck to Zack, going from the Big Sky country to practicing and playing in downtown Portland. PSU is the largest 4-year college in Oregon and a great school! Go Vikes!
