The Edmonds-based Sound Live Sports Network received a national award recently for its broadcast of North Sound SeaWolves FC semi-pro soccer games.
The SeaWolves played their 2012 and 2013 Premiere Development League home soccer games at Edmonds District Stadium. This past season, the home games were broadcast online by the Sound Live Sports Network, which also provides live video streaming of high school sports for Edmonds School District teams at SoundLiveSportsNetwork.com.
At the annual meeting of the United States Soccer League (USL), the national organization that operates semi-pro soccer leagues in the U.S and Canada, the SeaWolves’ broadcasts were recognized as “Best Live Broadcast” in the Premiere Development League.
The Sound Live Sports Network broadcast team included broadcasters Keith Nealey and Nathan Murphy, producer Todd Elvig and executive producer Teresa Wippel.
“Our crew did a wonderful job and the live-streamed broadcasts were seen in many location in the U.S., Canada and around the world,” said Wippel, who livestreams sports broadcasts through her My Neighborhood News Network of community news sites — My Edmonds News, MLTnews and Lynnwood Today. “To be recognized as the best is a big deal! We want to thank Brien Motors and Waterfront Coffee for supporting the SeaWolves broadcasts.”
A well-deserved award! Glad to see a good local business stand out among other soccer broadcasts around the U.S. and Canada.
