A float plane with engine problems made a safe landing south of Edmonds and had to be towed to the beach by a fire rescue boat Saturday afternoon.
A captain from Kenmore Air notified 911 dispatchers about 1:51 p.m. that the airplane had made a water landing and needed to be towed to shore, said Leslie Hynes, public information officer for Snohomish County Fire District 1, which provides fire and emergency medical service in the City of Edmonds.
Two passengers and a pilot were on board the plane. There were no injuries. Fire District 1’s rescue boat, based at the Edmonds Marina, towed the float plane to Marina Beach.
