The body of a Seattle woman was found floating in the water near Anthony’s Restaurant on the Edmonds waterfront early Sunday morning.
According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marsh, police and Fire District 1 aid crews were dispatched to the Edmonds Marina at 5:55 a.m. Sunday following a report of a female body found in the water. Units pulled the body, located near L dock, from the water, Marsh said. Marsh said the deceased woman was 50 years old with a most recent address in south Seattle.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office responded to assist in the investigation along with Edmonds Police Department detectives, Marsh said. “A vehicle was found nearby, which apparently belonged to the woman along with personal effects located close by as well,” he added.
While there were no obvious signs of foul play, the investigation is continuing.
