The City of Edmonds’ Yost Pool is set to open for the 2014 season Monday, June 16.
From June 16-22, the pool will operate with a “preseason” schedule (including swim lessons), with the regular schedule beginning June 23. Because the pool is opening later than normal, the City of Edmonds and the YMCA — which are partnering to operate the pool this year — have worked together to extend the season until Sept. 15.
The city also notes that the pool will be changing its sign-in procedure as a result of the partnership for the 2014 season. Every participant will have to sign a waiver at least one time to use Yost Pool, and the waiver will be valid for the entire season. Minors who are 8 years of age or older are allowed to attend the pool without a parent/guardian, but must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver in person on the minor’s first visit. Children 7 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while using the pool.
The pool schedule, pricing and programs can be found at yostpool.edmondswa.gov. Registration for swim team, swim lessons and other pool programs is underway. Rental reservations and swim passes will be handled onsite at Yost Pool as of Monday, June 16. The pool is located at 9535 Bowdoin Way, Edmonds,
