The City of Edmonds contractor working on the city’s annual sewermain replacement project has encountered unexpected soil conditions during deep excavation along 200th Street Southwest, west of 76th Avenue. To protect public safety, 200th between 76th and 80th Avenues West will be closed to through traffic until the new sewermain is completed, anticipated July 23.
Local access will remain for residents, first responders, mail, garbage and recycling services for the duration of construction in that area, the city said.
