Driftwood Players come aboard as My Edmonds News TV sponsor

driftwoodMyENTV - Logo - Square - No TagMy Edmonds News TV, a new video-focused website for those who live, work and/or visit Edmonds, is pleased to announce its latest sponsor: Edmonds Driftwood Players.

“The Edmonds Driftwood Players have been a community institution in Edmonds for more than 50 years, and I am proud to welcome them as a My Edmonds News TV sponsor,” said My Edmonds News TV founder Teresa Wippel. “South Snohomish County is so fortunate to have a theatre company that provides engaging, affordable live entertainment and educational opportunities. Driftwood’s commitment to My Edmonds News TV reinforces the increasing role that online video plays in the lives of our local residents.”

Driftwood’s sponsorship includes a commercial on “Edmonds Today,” a monthly video news magazine that is scheduled to air its next show in August.

My Edmonds News TV was launched in June to compliment Edmonds’ fast-growing online news source, My Edmonds News, which Wippel founded in 2009. While My Edmonds News has always offered some video coverage of local events, and has provided video interviews of candidates during the past few Edmonds elections, My Edmonds News TV marks an expansion of efforts in this area, Wippel said.

“From our livestreaming of the 2014 An Edmonds Kind of Fourth of July parade to coverage of local events such as the Pacific Little League’s quest for a World Series berth, we are increasing our efforts to capture events around town through a medium that an increasing number of people are using every day,” she added.
