Fire District 1 fire calls, July 10-16

fire district 1 logoSnohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 383 calls the week of July 10-16: 294 emergency medical aid calls, 21 motor vehicle collisions, 37 fires, 12 service calls, 2 natural gas leaks, 2 hazardous materials calls and 15 automatic fire alarms.

July 10
BRUSH FIRE: At 6:46 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the 2500 block of Cadet Way east of Everett. No injuries were reported.

July 11
COLLISION: At 10:11 a.m., a car was involved in a collision on southbound I-5 south of 164th Street SW. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION: At 10:49 a.m., firefighters responded to 228th St. SW and 44th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace after a woman pushing a stroller in a crosswalk was struck by a vehicle. The child was uninjured. The mother received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

July 12
COLLISION: At 2:43 p.m., two cars were involved in a collision in the 22600 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported three patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

July 13
COLLISION: At 12:58 a.m., a car drove through a brick wall and flipped onto its roof in the 5600 block of 125th Street SE east of Mill Creek. The passenger was out of the car when firefighters arrived, but the driver was unconscious and still in his seat, held in place upside down by his seatbelt. Firefighters transported the driver and the passenger to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

July 14
CAR FIRE: At 2:36 a.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire in the 9100 block of 242nd Street SW in Edmonds. No one was injured.

COLLISION: At 6:40 a.m., a pickup truck and commercial box truck were involved in a collision on southbound I-5 south of 164th Street SW. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

BRUSH FIRE: At 2:33 p.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the 15900 block of 44th Avenue W north of Lynnwood.

July 15
DUMPSTER FIRE: At 10:35 a.m., firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire that was spreading to trees and brush in the 600 block of Center Road south of Everett.

July 16
BRUSH FIRE: At 1:56 a.m., firefighters extinguished a brush fire on northbound 525 south of Highway 99 northwest of Lynnwood.

CAR FIRE: At 10:43 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire in the yard of a home in the 14800 block of 19th Avenue W north of Lynnwood.
