The winners of the 2014 Edmonds in Bloom garden competition will be announced at the awards reception Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. The public is invited to attend this annual event during which the volunteers who gave their time and energy to this year’s Edmonds in Bloom activities will be honored.

A virtual garden tour will be presented highlighting the garden competition entrants as well as this year’s seven gardens on the Edmonds in Bloom Garden Tour July 20. Wayne Purser will be the Master of Ceremonies. Rich Lindsay, City of Edmonds Parks Manager, will be the guest speaker.

The evening will also include the raffle drawing for gift certificates donated by local merchants and three grand prizes: Trip for two to Victoria, B.C., Northwest Flower and Garden show with overnight stay in Seattle, and a diamond necklace donated by Comstock Jewelers.
