Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop in Edmonds starting Sept. 15

A Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop will be offered at the Edmonds Senior Center (220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds) beginning Sept. 15.

This six-week series meets on Mondays through Oct. 20 from 1-3:30 p.m. and teaches skills that help people manage chronic health conditions.

Workshop topics include:

· Healthy eating
· Safe physical activity
· Stress management
· Managing medications
· Communication
· Working with your health care providers
· Goal setting and problem-solving

Workshop participants report that they feel healthier, they lead more active lives, have less depression and a better health-related quality of life.

There is no charge for the workshop and the course handbook. Family members, friends and caregivers of people with chronic health conditions are encouraged to enroll.
