Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling has scheduled a second Town Hall meeting for Thursday, Sept. 11, this time in the Highway 99 neighborhood. The meeting will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the new Community Health Center of Snohomish County located at 23320 Hwy. 99 in Edmonds.

Community members from the Highway 99 area are invited to attend to discuss current issues relating to the neighborhood, ask questions and provide feedback. In addition to the mayor, city directors will attend and provide brief presentations.

This the second Town Hall meeting that Earling has held. The first one, on June 12, drew a crowd to the Corner Coffee Bar and Cafe in Perrinville. More meetings are currently being planned for later in the year at other locations throughout the city and will focus on issues related to those areas.

For questions or more information, contact the Mayor’s Office at 425-771-0247.

  1. I had the pleasure of attending the Town Hall meeting that was held several months ago in the Perrinville neighborhood.

    The format was perfect!

Mayor Earling began with opening remarks. Then each director described the function of his / her department. That was very helpful for citizens who wanted to ask questions during the Q & A period. If a director did not know the answer to a citizen’s question, a city staffer would follow up with an e-mail or telephone call at a later time.

Having the function at the Corner Cafe was an excellent idea as many of us patronize the coffee shop and feel comfortable being at that venue.

I would highly recommend that citizens living in the Highway 99 area attend the upcoming event.
