Edmonds resident Jeff Millet, owner of Northcore Performance Training in Shoreline, is hosting a free workout fundraiser event on Saturday, Sept. 20 to help raise awareness for National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which is in September.

Optional 30 minute workouts will be going on all morning. Raffle tickets can be purchased with or without a workout. Donations from local community businesses make up the raffle prizes and include restaurant gift cards (like Hamburger Harry’s, Ivar’s, and P.F. Chang), sports memorabilia, and X-Box games.

The proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards Colton’s Army, a group dedicated to bringing awareness to childhood cancer while supporting and encouraging Colton Matter, a 14-year-old cancer-fighting teen who has battled cancer for the 5th time in five years.
