The Edmonds School District has a surplus of used but operable laptop computers available to low income students.
The computers are no longer in service and have been replaced as part of the District’s technology equipment replacement cycle. These surplus computers are being provided to eligible District students, at no cost, based on income level.
Students are automatically eligible for a laptop computer under this program if they qualify for free or reduced-priced meals under the National School Lunch Program this school year. Students need only submit a copy of their eligibility letter from the District’s Food Service Department. Call 425-431-7080 if you need a copy of your eligibility letter.
If a student is not eligible for free or reduced-price meals this school year, they may still apply for a laptop if their family’s income meets certain levels.

Hello,
I am a Network and Server Admin Student at North Seattle College. The labs at school are not available to students, Covid. I live in Lynnwood. I just lost my job. I am looking for an affordable computer that I can experiment with. I need to be able to tear apart a pc and rebuild it. I need a machine that should I sacrifice it, it won’t be a big deal. Clearly I’m not going to use my working-school PC. I need to be able to fry a ram chip or even a motherboard and not be shut down. Do you folks have any old networking gear. Switches and routers?
Regards
David
