Edmonds’ Holy Rosary School kicked off its 50th year of providing K-8 education to the community with a special ceremony celebrating the opening of the new school year. The entire 255-member student body was present, along with faculty, administrators, parents and special guests.
“We hold this ceremony every year,” said Principal Sue Venable, “but this year it’s extra special because in addition to welcoming the students and teachers back to school, we’re marking our 50th anniversary in the Edmonds community.”
The ceremony, under sunny skies in the grassy field adjacent to the church and school, included songs, fun competitive games between faculty members, and a special group of parent alums whose children now attend the school.
