Edmonds School District gifted programs are intended to provide support for students who exhibit extremely high cognitive ability, often demonstrate significantly advanced levels of academic achievement and/or display unusual creative behavior. Grades K-7 Parent (only) meeting – Oct. 22, 6-7 p.m., Terrace Park Elementary
Grade 8 Parent/Student meeting – Oct. 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Edmonds-Woodway High, Little Theatre
Gifted students take the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT6) and must qualify as “gifted/highly capable.” Testing is as follows:
Grades K-5 Challenge Test – Dec. 6– Referral due Nov. 21
Grades 6-7 Gifted Middle Test – Dec. 13 – Referral due Nov. 21
Grade 8 IB Test – Dec. 13 – Referral due Dec. 1
