    1. Good question, Tere. The CrimeMapping site does not show whether the crimes are in organized Block Watch areas. If you are interested in knowing more about the Edmonds Police Department’s funding or cuts regarding an official City Block Watch program, let us know.

  1. Thank you….I just thought the title of this article “Block Watch” made it appear that these crimes were committed in relation to “Block Watch” areas……Does the CrimeMapping site list these as “Block Watch” related? Just wondering, as “Block Watch” is an actual program. I have not seen this program mentioned with listings of crime before.

I’ve been trying to get a Block Watch program together in Edmonds and someone listing the program like this could make it appear to be related to Block Watch program areas. I understand people in Edmonds are not interested in Block Watch and thought this might be related.

Areas all over operating Block Watch programs actually have way less crime.
