    1. Not sure about the timing as the time noted refers to when they were reported, not necessarily when they occurred. But I can say that I noted in the most recent Police Blotter that there were a number of incidents reported in the Point Edwards area (51 Pine Street) so that may account for many if not all.

  1. Really helps to have Blockwatch up and running in ALL neighborhoods. People always know anything that seems strange and out of the ordinary in their own neighborhoods. It is not hard to spot people casing a neighborhood for later burglaries, etc. Alleys are used a lot for this. You can’t miss them and what they are doing

I have no idea how many Blockwatch blocks there are in Edmonds, but it has shown to cut out a large percentage of crime. Plus, it is just darn good to have neighbors know each other on a more intimate level. People care more about each other when they know each other. .Point Edwards is so secluded up there, and easy to see how this could happen without people paying attention to their surroundings for each other

  2. Block Watch is up and running in the Ardenwood Neighborhood.( south end of Edmonds near the county line) Most everyone is on an updated e-mail list. We started it because of several things that happened in a short period of time We do watch out for each other.Too bad there are no longer resources to support this program.

    1. Hi, Suzanne – To get the info, we had to do separate searches for “98020” and “98026”, along with “2 miles” as the radius of each search in https://www.crimemapping.com. Let us know if that helps. You can run a search for one day, week, month, and year to get more info.
