The Dailer family of Edmonds beat out dozens of other contestants for Best in Show honors during the 2014 Halloween Howell Costume Contest sponsored by Off-Leash Area Edmonds at Marina Park Dog Beach Saturday.
The family’s entry included Doug and Francie Dailer and their daughters Maya and Kiara dressed as forest animals, accompanied by the family dog Otter, who was wearing a park ranger shirt and hat and boasting a “No Dogs Allowed” sign.
This was the 10th annual Halloween Howl event for Off-Leash Area Edmonds, which maintains the off-leash dog beach. Prizes were also awarded for first, second and third place in the following categories: “Most Original,” “Funniest”and “Best Owner and Dog Combination.”
A video of first place winners receiving their awards in all categories can be seen via My Edmonds News TV here, and you can watch an unedited video introducing all contestants here.
We wish to thank all the folks that showed up either with our without their dogs. It was a great day and a wonderful annual fundraising event. I hope everyone was able to check out the updated agility course as well. See you next year – woof!
