Halloween scene in Edmonds: Our photo gallery

Larry Vogel wandered around trick-or-treat festivities in downtown Edmonds Friday night, and here’s a sampling of what he captured. Be sure to watch his video on My Edmonds News TV.

  1. Larry, I think you captured it! Our little town knows how to do it and still make it so much fun, you can see it in the faces of those scary folks. Thanks for the slice of Halloween Americana, 2014!

  2. Great pics, Larry. Looks really crowded and boy, the costumes are great! I missed the flash-mob this year, my NHL scarecrow had on my mask as I don’t want folks to see who I am as I “Thriller-away”. Looks like a great crowd and I know everyone had fun.

  3. Great photographs Larry! I did not see these earlier. Oh my gosh, wow~! You really get the essence of our town in photographs Larry. Thank you.

We were there and this year was just the best, with the best costumes ever.

The “Thriller” music again had us all dancing in the streets (we couldn’t help it….now that, is scarry!), and yes, best costumes ever from what we saw, all over the place, most everybody decked out for fun. …..and the haunted house was just grand too……I think we have to be a part of that next year……

  4. Thank you all for your kind comments. It’s a privilege to live in Edmonds, and I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to serve my community in this way.

    1. Wonderful photos! Thank you so much for your many contributions to the joys we who live here experience. As an avid photographer I especially delight in your photo journalism, but love your written reporting as well. Grateful to you for enriching our Edmonds kind of days!

  5. So sad to have missed Halloween this year, being a visitor for Sidney in the hospital. By the time I was home, all was over. BOOHOO! The pictures are wonderful, and good job, Larry.
