Edmonds’ second annual scarecrow festival is drawing to a close, and the voting is right down to the wire! Voting for this year closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1. May the best scarecrows win!

Winners will be announced on Monday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. during a special reception at the Edmonds Historical Museum. Housed in the newly-renovated 1910 Carnegie Library, the museum is located at 118 Fifth Ave. N. in downtown Edmonds. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. The public and all scarecrows are invited!

And if you haven’t cast your votes yet, don’t delay. Voting is easy and fun. Just go to the online Scarecrow Voting Page here for photos of all the entries. Just pick your favorite in each of the six categories (Residential, Business in Bowl, Business Outside Bowl, School/Youth Group, Artist/Art Group and Government/Civic Group) and click the easy check-off boxes to cast your vote.

The Edmonds Scarecrow Festival is one more community project of the Edmonds Historical Museum. The museum also sponsors the Summer Market, the spring Garden Market, the Halloween Haunted Museum, and the annual Heritage Days Banquet and Auction.

The museum is open year-round between 1 and 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, but opens at 10 a.m. on market days. Suggested donation in lieu of an admission fee is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
