Warriors, Mavs compete in Hole in the Wall Invitational

The Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale High School cross country teams competed at the Hole in the Wall Invitational meet in Lakewood Saturday.

Edmonds-Woodway’s girls team placed third overall, with the Warriors’ Sydney Boland finishing 10th in the 5,000 meter Division 1 race with a time of 20:44.3. Other notable EWHS placements were Yukino Parle in 16th, Susan Kim in 26th, and Megan Kelley in 35th.

For Meadowdale girls, Kiara Dailer was the top finisher in 72nd place. with a time of 23:00.4.

On the boys’ side, Edmonds-Woodway’s team placed 13th overall, with Miler Haler finishing third with a time of 15:41.5. Other top E-W finishers were Sam McCloughan at 48th (16:53.3), and Benjamin Yang at 69th (17:11).

The Warriors won the JV Boys Division I team competition with 52 points.

Edmonds-Woodway, Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood meet up on Thursday, Oct. 16, for the annual Edmonds District Meet. Competitions begin at 3:15 p.m. at Lyndale Park in Lynnwood.
