Clubs & Activities: I am active in dance. I love ballet, Lindy Hop and ballroom dance. I basically just love dancing. I also enjoy the other arts as well, such as creating costumes out of alternative materials. Currently I am building an electric guitar. I appreciate the collaborative experience in musical theater such as vocals and dance choreography. I loved being part of the Schooner Zodiac Sailing Experience.
Future Educational Goals: Currently, I am open to Running Start, Sno-Isle Skill Center or other options for continuing education.

Future Career Goals: My main career goal is to become a professional music artist, and music producer/audio engineer.

Edmonds-Woodway High School

Clubs & Activities: I am a member of the Students Saving Salmon club and serve as vice-president of Environmental club.
Community Service: As my CAS project in IB, I have been walking dogs for people in need for the past couple months. I also took part in a four day Student Conservation Association crew to fix up trails around Lake Quinalt.
Culminating Project: As a full IB candidate, my culminating project is my extended research essay, which explores the origins of human kindness, focusing on the psycho/evolutionary aspect of it.
Future Educational Goals: I hope to get in to a decent college and then possibly pursue a medical degree.
Anything else we should know? In Students Saving Salmon club I made a speech in front of the Edmonds City Council regarding the retention of a buffer zone for the city of Edmonds marsh in the most recent Shoreline Master Program update. I also interviewed Mr. John Cook, who helped preserve the marsh in the 1970s. That interview can be found on myedmondsnews.com.

Athletics: I am on varsity cheer and have been for all four years of high school. I was chosen as captain for both my junior and senior year.
Honors: I’m a member of the National Honors Society and was EW Athlete of the Week for the Oct. 2 issue of the Edmonds Beacon.
Awards: I received Outstanding Achievement in French 1 and French 2 (2012 and 2013) and Leadership Award for contribution to Homecoming poster making.
Community Service: I participated with Sparkles cheer squad for girls in the Life Skills program at Edmonds-Woodway.
Culminating Project: I’m a full International Baccalaureate candidate writing an extended essay on the ethics and morality of In-Vitro Fertilization from the perspectives of three different religions:  Catholicism, Judaism, and Islam.
Future Educational Goals: I hope to go to the University of Washington and major in biochemistry or neurobiology. I hope to then continue on to medical school to get a master’s degree.
Future Career Goals: To pursue a career in medicine. I want to be a radiologist or a surgeon.

Community Service: I teach Sunday School classes with elementary age youth at Canyon Hills Community Church. I focus on teaching them what I believe, encouraging them to decide what they believe and know why. It is my hope that they will stand firm in their beliefs in every aspect of their lives.
Current Employment: I work at Starbucks as a barista. It is stimulating, social and fast-paced, which is an environment I love and thrive in.
Future Educational Goals: I hope to earn a four year degree and potentially even an MBA or law degree, depending on what field I end up pursuing. Right now, I really enjoy the humanities, but I find other fields fascinating as well.
Future Career Goals: I don’t have a specific profession picked out, but would love to combine my passion for travel, culture and history with my affinity for writing and quick thinking to positively influence the world around me at local, national and global levels.
Anything else we should know? I am constantly in awe of the capacity we have as individuals to encourage, equip, and inspire other individuals. This is the key to mobilizing and revolutionizing society to work towards positive change, and I hope to be a part of this movement.
