Edmonds-Woodway HS honors its girls soccer state champions

Larry Vogel was on hand to take photos and video Monday morning as officials from Edmonds-Woodway High School and the Edmonds School District honored members of the EWHS girls soccer team, who returned to school Monday morning as the 2014 State 3A Girls High School champions after a 2-1 victory over Southridge Saturday in Puyallup.

"This is a big freaking deal," says Edmonds School District Athletic Director Julie Stroncek of the state title, noting that it's been 10 years since any team from the district's four high schools have played in a state championship competition.

  1. When is the community celebration? A parade through town?Theyalso deserve recognition for the city council and Mayor.
