A Lynnwood house fire that sent two people to the hospital is being investigated as a possible arson by the Lynnwood Police Department.

On Sunday, Nov. 16 at about 7:10 p.m., the Lynnwood police and fire departments responded to a residential house fire in the 6200 block of 193rd St. SW.

Two occupants, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s, were both transported to area hospitals. The man is being treated at Swedish Hospital in Edmonds and police are waiting for his release. The woman is at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and her condition was listed as critical as of 3 a.m. Monday.

Detectives, along with the Fire Marshal, are treating this fire as an arson investigation. Investigators are hoping to serve a search warrant on the residence later today. The case is still ongoing.
