Activity seen inside the former fitness facility at Five Corners has raised questions — but no tenant yet.

Reports of activity inside the large empty space at Five Corners next to Caffe Ladro, former location of Vision Quest Fitness, led passersby to wonder if something was finally going into the building, which was vacated last summer after the fitness center moved all its members to the LA Fitness location in Lynnwood. But Jayme Bartholomew, Vice President of Real Estate for Development Services of America, Inc., which owns the building, says the work is simply an effort to update the inside so that the space can be put on the market.

The property will go on the market for lease in January, she said, adding “we’re hopeful it will leased in the first quarter.”

Bartholomew said that she had a chance to view the Five Corners Roundabout a few weeks ago as it was being completed — and was impressed. “It really updates the area,” she said.
