Robert Brown new Edmonds-Woodway HS boys basketball coach

warrior-logoRobert Brown, who has served as the junior varsity boys basketball coach and varsity assistant at Edmonds-Woodway High School for the past three years, has been named head coach for the Warriors, said E-W Athletic Director Angie McGuire.

Brown replaces Jason Hopkins, who had taken the head coaching job at E-W in May after former Warrior coach Steve Call resigned at the end of the 2013 season. But Hopkins was offered a position at Idaho State and resigned.

Brown coached at Juanita High School prior to coming to Edmonds-Woodway.

“Robert is a strong leader and motivator—we are excited for him to step into this new position,” McGuire said.

Tryouts for boys and girls basketball, wrestling and boys swimming start this week at all high schools.
