State girls swim: Warriors finish 11th, Trevvik named coach of year; Mavs’ Nguyeale takes 8th

Edmonds-Woodway High School’s girls swim team finished 11th at state today out of 46 schools represented Saturday. Luci Brock got 4th in the 200 IM and 8th in 100 fly and Morgan Broadhead took 9th in the 100 Free. The 200 medley relay team of Juliana Epoch, Luci Brock, Emily Levin and Broadhead placed 11th while the 400 free relay team — with Brock, Juliana Epoch, Josie McCloughan and  Broadhead — took 12th.

In addition, E-W Coach Kate Trevvik was named the coach of the year for 3A girls state swim.

Meadowdale’s Victorie Nguyeale took eighth place in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 3A state girls swimming and diving championships Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Nguyeale finished the race in 1:07.15. She also swam on the Mavericks’ 400 medley relay team that took 23rd overall.
