State volleyball: Warriors in consolation round Saturday morning

Edmonds-Woodway High School’s volleyball team started off the 3A state tournament in Lacey with a 3-1 loss to Eastside Catholic (25-21, 18-25, 13-25, 21-25) but bounced back to defeat Ferndale 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21), earning a spot in the consolation round Saturday morning.

The Warriors face North Thurston at 8 a.m. and if they win, they will advance to play the winner of the Prairie-Seattle Prep game for 7th and 8th place in the 3A tourney.
