My Neighborhood News Network publisher Teresa Wippel announced Monday that Valerie Claypool will be joining the MNNN team as an Advertising Sales Associate.

Claypool most recently served as Membership and Events Director at the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. She will work with Advertising and Marketing Director Maggie Peterson to serve both businesses and non-profit organizations seeking to reach the growing readership of MNNN publications – My Edmonds News, Lynnwood Today and MLTnews.

“I am honored that Valerie will be joining the My Neighborhood News Network, and I know that she and Maggie will make an incredible team for serving our valued clients,” Wippel said. “Both of them are long-time South Snohomish County residents who are passionate about serving local advertisers because they not only work here – they live here, shop here and do business here.”

Wippel said she also appreciates the event planning expertise that Claypool brings to the organization, noting that Claypool managed a wide range of high-profile activities during her tenure at the Edmonds Chamber.

“The My Neighborhood News Network has always prided itself in working hand-in-hand with community organizations on event sponsorship,” Wippel said. “Adding Valerie to our team will give us an opportunity to expand our efforts and further enhance the value of our marketing efforts to our advertisers.”

Claypool will officially start her work with MNNN on Jan. 1, 2015.

Sorry we didn’t get to see each other before my last day with the City, but hopefully we can meet up for lunch or something and share everything that’s happening.
