Downtown Edmonds shops and galleries are gearing up for a grand Art Walk Edmonds this Thursday, Dec. 18. Between 5-8 p.m. downtown, all the sparkle and sass of the season will be showcased as proprietors prop open their doors and welcome Edmonds-area celebrants.
We are already hearing from many Santa-friendly locations, and today’s bulletin comes from Ombu Salon + Spa.
Illustrator Tamara Belland will be offering ink and watercolor portraits for $15, each according to Rachel Dobbins, Ombu spokesperson. Each portrait takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, and “will be cherished forever!” by the recipient. Belland will also have her posters and note cards available for holiday shoppers – most notable being her “Through the Looking Glass” series.
Although this is Santa’s busy time of year, he will be at Ombu Salon + Spa as well. We’ve been told that he is coming in for a much-needed massage, and has agreed to stay through an evening of Art Walk Edmonds to hear everyone’s Christmas wish list. Plus, photographer Janine Harles will be on hand to take portraits with Santa between 6-7 p.m.
The Ombu team will be welcoming their Art Walk Edmonds visitors with hot chocolate and cookies, so you know that the atmosphere at Ombu will be merry and magical.
