The Ballet Academy of Performing Arts will perform Le Petit Nutcracker on Dec. 9 for Edmonds Rotary Noon Club. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the performance starts at 12:15 p.m. at the Edmonds Conference Center, 201 4th Ave. N. in Edmonds.

This Petit Nutcracker version begins with an excerpt from the snow scene, then follows Clara as she wakes up in the land of sweets andenjoys all of the favorites from Act II. The dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy will be performed by senior Ellie Yamanaka, who has danced in the studio’s Nutcracker for over 10 years.

“Director Lana McGinnis is always proud to take her dancers into the community, giving them the opportunity to perform and showcase their hard work as well as bring the joy of the season to audiences large and small,” said Rotary publicist Carol Kinney.

Guests are always welcome. Call Timothy Schell at 425-275-5900 or LIbby Freese at 206-465-8415 by noon on Monday, Dec. 8, if you would like to purchase a lunch for $15. The club will be collecting money and non-perishable food items for the Edmonds Food Bank at the meeting.
