Scene in Edmonds: Pop-up Projection Art on display
Posted: December 19, 2014 963
Take an empty wall, and it is a blank canvas. Arista Wine Cellars with C’est la Vie is just one location in downtown Edmonds to host Pop-up Projection Art. The project is just beginning with a few locations. “When Elizabeth Martin-Calder of the Artwalk Edmonds mentioned the idea, I thought it sure fit Edmonds,” said Ruth Arista, owner of Arista Wine Cellars. Martin-Calder came up with projectors for several downtown locations. This piece, “Red Flower,” on the outside of the wine shop on 5th Avenue South, was shown on Third Thursday Artwalk and on display Friday, Dec 19 until 8 p.m. Keep your eyes open for more pop up art during evenings in Edmonds.
