Author Theresa McCormick, Ed.D., will speak Jan. 26 at the Edmonds Library as part of EPIC Group Writers. There is no event this coming Monday, Jan. 19, which is a library holiday.
On Jan. 26, Theresa McCormick, Ed.D., will talk about writing her memoir, “A Far Cry From Here: Growing Up and Out of Fundamentalism.” Dr. McCormick is a Professor Emeritus of Iowa State University where she was a Professor of Education in multicultural and gender studies for 20 years. In 2006 she was awarded the Willystine Goodsell Award from the American Educational Research Association for outstanding scholarship, activism, and community building efforts that advance women, girls and education.
Dr. McCormick’s talk in the Edmonds Library takes place on Jan. 26 at 11 a.m., after the 10 a.m. writing session led by Janette Turner.
