Edmonds police announced Friday that charges have been filed against two juveniles who were part of a Seattle car-theft ring that struck two used-car dealerships on Highway 99 in Edmonds late last year.
According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marsh, the two juveniles stole vehicles in November and December 2014 from Car Masters at 21210 Hwy 99 and Gasoline Alley at 22430 Hwy 99.
The group of juveniles all went to school and lived in Seattle, and also stole cars in Seattle, Shoreline and Bothell. On Dec. 5, 2014, the Bothell Police Department responded to a burglary at an auto dealership and ended up arresting 10 juveniles — seven males and three females — in connection with that incident.
“As a result of those arrests and further investigation by Edmonds police detectives, charges have now been filed in four of the Edmonds auto dealership burglary cases,” Marsh said, adding that it is up to the Juvenile Division of the Snohomish County Prosecutors Office to file formal charges.
Since all the suspects are juveniles, no names will be released.
