The Edmonds City Council is hosting a reception for outgoing Councilmember Strom Peterson at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, prior to the 7 p.m. council meeting.
The Jan. 6 meeting will be Peterson’s last, as he is leaving to become a State House Representative for the 21st District in Olympia.
The Council Chambers is located at 250 5th Ave. N., Edmonds. All are welcome to attend.

Dear Strom, it has been a pleasure working with you and thank you for your support last year while I was steering the ship. Of course, our work will continue but now it is in a different forum. There was never a doubt in my mind that you were the best candidate for Mary Helen’s slot.

Representative Peterson – thank you for your contributions to our great city. Your seat on the Council dais will be hard to fill.
Edmonds’ loss is Washington state’s gain. I have no doubt Strom will do himself, his family, and his adopted hometown proud. I can’t wait to see what accomplishments can be gained in Olympia!
