Prep boys swimming: Edmonds-Woodway wins team title at Edmonds Invitational

Alex and Sean Nguyenle won four individual events between them and led the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors boys swim squad to the team title at the Edmonds District Invitational Championships held at the Lynnwood Pool on Saturday. The Warriors easily outdistanced a field that included rivals Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood.

Senior Alex Nguyenle was victorious in the 100 Yard Butterfly and the 100 Yard Breaststroke; Sean took home the individual titles in the 200 Yard IM Medley and the 500 Yard Freestyle.

Other local winners in individual events were Kyle Barnett of Meadowdale in the 50 Yard Freestyle and Sam Armentrout of Mountlake Terrace in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Meadowdale won the 200 Yard Medley Relay and the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, while Edmonds-Woodway finished first in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
