The Edmonds-Woodway girls basketball team ran away with an easy victory over the Mountlake Terrace Hawks 73-18 Friday night at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

The victory pushed the Warriors’ record to 7-1 in the Wesco League, 14-2 overall. The Hawks remain winless in league play at 0-8, 1-14 overall.

All 10 Warriors that played found their way onto the scoreboard Friday, with senior Natalie Kasper leading the way with 17 points. Moni Jackson tallied 12 points while Mady Burdett added 11 for the Warriors.

With two victories by margins of 39 and 55 points this week, E-W just may find its way into the next AP 3A girls prep basketball rankings, expected to be released on Jan. 28. The Warriors received 18 votes in the most recent poll, landing them just outside the top-10 rankings. Lynnwood currently sits atop the poll, with other Wesco League members Glacier Peak and Arlington ranked fourth and seventh respectively.
