Tickets are still available for the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce benefit concert, “A Taste of the Taste,” a benefit concert for the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. The Sunday, Jan. 31 event will feature six bands: Spike & the Impalers, Heart by Heart, The Beatniks, No Rules, The Michelle Taylor Band and The Joe Slick Band.
The goal is to help the chamber make up for revenue lost when thunder and rain shut down “A Taste of Edmonds” in August.
Tickets are available at the Edmonds Center for the Arts website at www.edmondscenterforthearts.org.
Revenues from the Taste provide more than 60 percent of the chamber’s annual operating revenue, which includes funding free community events such as An Edmonds Kind of 4th, Edmonds Classic Car Show, Candidates Forum, Halloween Trick-or-Treat and the holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.
In addition, over $20,000 is paid out from the Taste to support local non-profits and civic groups including Clothes for Kids, Edmonds Kiwanis, Edmonds Lions Club, Soroptomists, Edmonds-Woodway High School and the Edmonds Boys and Girls Club.
