Scene in Edmonds: Emotion through sculpture

Edmonds sculptor David Varnau was the featured artist at Cole Gallery for the January Third Thursday Art Walk. Varnau gained his appreciation of the human form from having worked more than 35 years in prosthetics. He began sculpting at Seattle's Gage Academy of Art. The intensity of Varnau’s sculptures lies in his ability to vibrantly convey the full range of human emotion through form and pose. His work will be on display this month at Cole Gallery. Varnau's studio is a regular stop on the annual Edmonds Arts Studio Tour. (Photo by Larry Vogel)
