Everyone knows the Super Bowl-bound Seahawks have the L.O.B., aka Legion of Boom, or Love our Brothers. But what about the sisters? Two women, Jeni Glaze and Zahava Epps, are big Seahawks fans, but their biggest passion is helping women out of the cycle of domestic violence. Epps and Glaze teamed up with editor Janette Turner to turn true life stories of abuse into triumph. The resulting book, ‘Through Our Eyes: Two Women and Their Fight for Life,’ is about to be released, and My Edmonds News/Lynnwood Today recently sat down with the women to learn how the book came about with support from YWCA, Hazel Miller Foundation, and EPIC Group Writers. The full story will run next month. Until then, the women have their eyes on the Seahawks and the inspirational Legion of Boom.
