Actor Chris Pratt, who grew up in Lake Stevens, was the biggest movie star of 2014, thanks to starring roles in the year’s No. 1 and No. 4 top-grossing films (“Guardians of the Galaxy” and “The LEGO Movie”). He also is a passionate Seahawks fan, which figured largely in Pratt’s hometown/Hollywood love story with actress and Edmonds native Anna Faris, our online news partner The Seattle Times reports.

Faris, who is now the star of “Mom,” met Pratt while he was working on the movie “Take Me Home Tonight,” in 2009.

“He was cast as my boyfriend … and when I met him at the table read he was wearing a Seattle Seahawks shirt,” Faris recalled. “I was all, ‘No way, I’m from Edmonds!’ He had planned the whole thing, which is romantic to me. He was like, ‘I’m gonna get her,’ and he got me.”
