600 8th Avenue South: Police responded to a report of several people living in a residence with no utilities. Case involved possible code violations, trespassing and illegal activity.

16600 block 76th Avenue West: Victim reported an unauthorized person used Social Security number to file a tax return for 2013.

9400 block 232nd Street Southwest: Suspect kicked in door to residence during attempted burglary; fled scene when he discovered people were inside.

Feb. 12

23500 block 74th Avenue West: Victim reported someone entered locked vehicle and stole GPS.

Feb. 13

23000 block 97th Avenue West: An IRS scam swindles an Edmonds resident of nearly $5,000.

7900 block 236th Street Southwest: Husband arrested after shoving his wife, causing her to hit the back of her head against a wood-framed couch, and later pulling her off the couch, again causing her to hit the back of her head.

Feb. 14

71 Main Street: Police responding to the Edmonds ferry dock regarding a minor collision end up taking one of the drivers involved into custody for DUI.

500 block Elm Way: Suspect arrested for assault after pushing wife.

Feb. 15

23600 block Highway 99: Two suspects stole a bottle of liquor each from a store. One got away, while the other was apprehended.

Feb. 16

22600 block 98th Avenue West: A man was arrested for assaulting his wife and was booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Feb. 17

19600 block 82nd Place West: Two men described as co-workers/friends went out drinking together at several area establishments. Girlfriend of one of them picks them up from the beach in her car. An argument ensues between the two men and one of the men asks to be let out. The other man gets out and punches the man three times in the face and pulls a knife. The victim ran for help and the suspect walked off.

Feb. 18

22500 block Highway 99: A barista at coffee stand reports that a suspect attempted to pay for his coffee order with a counterfeit $20 bill. The barista used a special marker to test the bill.

22900 block 106th Avenue West: Investigation of a juvenile missing from an elementary school results in discovery that the student was taken out of school by his mother for a doctor appointment without following checkout procedures.
