22000 block 99th Place West: A single ivory chess piece was reported stolen from an antique chess set.

Jan. 29

7600 block Ballinger Way: A man left his wallet at a gas station. It was gone when he returned for it.

Jan. 30

23800 block 77th Place West: Police received a report of a vehicle stolen from a residential neighborhood around 10:30 a.m. A witness reported seeing the vehicle being driven by a woman a few blocks away, but it was unknown where vehicle went.

600 block Admiral Way: A victim reported that window of car was broken and a leather style portfolio was stolen from the car’s interior.

9300 block 244th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for assault after he attempted to hit a person with a stolen fire extinguisher.

Jan. 31

500 block Main Street: A man was arrested after pushing, grabbing and kicking his girlfriend, throwing her cell phone on the ground and cracking the screen. He was booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Feb. 1

7300 block 224th Street Southwest: Someone uprooted a tree near the walkway of a condo complex.

Feb. 3

23600 block Highway 99: Three underage females shoplifted about 10 bottles of alcohol from Safeway.

Feb. 4

9300 block 244th Street Southwest: A man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend after kicking the back of her head and slamming her face onto a table.

23400 block 100th Avenue West: A 17-year-old male punched a wall at school in anger after breaking up with his girlfriend.

    Sometimes I can see how things might seem like a good idea at the time… other times, not so much.

  2. Something has to be done with the Safeway and the surrounding area. Every time I read the police blogger, there is always something happening in that area. Not a nice place for sometime. Are there changes coming soon?

  3. I live near “The Dangerous Safeway”, as I like to refer to it. That whole stretch of 99 has well-known issues, with habitual drug users and criminals hanging around. The police do what they can — I see them in the Safeway lot frequently — but really, as long as these people are frequenting the area, there will continue to be problems. I think, though I’m not sure, that some of them migrated north after Shoreline fixed up their stretch of 99 over the past several years.
