Old cell phones in your home? Donate them and help soldiers overseas stay in touch

Do you have an old cell phone or two at your home or office? McDonald McGarry Insurance is partnering with Cell Phones for Soldiers to collect and recycle your cell phones. These recycled phones don’t need to be in working order – gently used and broken phones are gladly accepted.

Cell Phones for Soldiers has provided over 213 million minutes of free talk time to troops overseas through its calling card program, Minutes That Matter. Funds raised from the recycling of cell phones are used to purchase prepaid international calling cards. Each phone collected can provide up to two and a half hours of phone time to soldiers overseas.

McDonald McGarry will be collecting phones from now through March 13. Office hours are 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays. McDonald McGarry Insurance is located at 630 Main St. at the corner of Durbin. Questions? Call 425-774-3200 or email info@mcdonaldmcgarry.com.
